“We are super in love with this hotel. The location honestly can NOT be beat. The views here are breathtaking. We have watched jumping Sting Rays, Dolphins & Whales right from our balcony. The service is wonderful here. We had some problems with our original room & had to move. The manager Joselyn G. was so sweet & helpful. We truly appreciate her Our kitchenette is perfect for our needs & comes equipped with the basics for cooking. This has helped us cut costs on dining out. It was also fun going to Casa Ley & Soriana to pick up all of the fresh food that we do not have at home in Canada & cooking it. We added a topper which made our king bed comfortable & the air conditioner (although older) works like a charm in our room . We have a safe, a big smart tv to connect to with different apps & our water pressure & temperature is perfect in the room I love the fact that if we need water or basic cooking supplies we can simply get them in a store by the lobby. The price is a bit higher than in town but honestly it’s not a big difference. We were pleasantly surprised to even find a bank machine there! I highly recommend double checking on fees for withdrawing before completing your transaction. In the city I was charged almost $25 to convert $150. I am quite impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms & resort & how clean the pool is. There are always cleaning staff around & the pool itself is cleaned every night which is very impressive to me considering I have gotten rashes & skin infections in other places. Every day there is a 2 for 1 drink menu at the pool. The drinks are tasty however in the city it does seem like more alcohol is given in your drink plus the drinks are bigger there. The water in the lagoon in front of the hotel is great for snorkelling & quite safe. We saw a lot of different fish underwater plus the water is pretty clear which makes snorkelling so much easier. The food in the restaurant is quite good as well. I loved the chicken soup & Mexican food platter. We will definitely return. We plan on bringing back friends & family. The weddings we saw taking place never interfered with our holiday plus the fireworks included with each wedding were a special treat for us. “If you want 5 star resort this is not the place for you. But if you want an amazing spot with stunning views looking out directly over the sea on the cheaper end of the scale then this may be what you are looking for. Seems it was built in the 80s for time-share. The rooms are dated but functional. Our 11th floor studio had a kitchen and an incredible view. There is 2 pools and a absolutely fantastic little man-made lagoon directly below your balcony. Combine that with amazing views of the coast around puerta vallarta with stunning sunsets over the ocean and this is a great, homely little location. Only down side it is close to the road and there is a little bit of traffic noise”

“A Hidden Gem for the Perfect Intimate Oceanfront Wedding When we started planning our wedding, we knew exactly what we wanted: an intimate, joyful celebration with no more than 50 of our closest friends and family. We dreamed of something memorable, beautiful, and right by the ocean. We searched and searched until we found this little hidden gem: Costa Sur Resort. Located away from the crazy touristy areas, the resort offers a wonderfully tranquil environment. It is the perfect size, small enough that we truly felt at home during our stay. While the rooms are slightly outdated, it honestly just added to the charm and rustic feel that we were looking for. And to top it off, every single room has the most amazing ocean view! One of our favorite features was the cove right in front of the property; it offered the perfect amount of privacy and a great spot for swimming in the ocean. The food was also absolutely delicious! I want to emphasize how incredible the staff was. Everyone was super friendly, always available, and wonderfully prompt. They truly got to know us and took amazing care of our entire group. However, I cannot say enough good things about our wedding coordinator, Jess (pictured here with us!). Jess made sure to deeply understand our vision and then flawlessly turned it into a reality. Everything, down to the very smallest details, was absolutely perfect. She listened to us attentively, worked with us to find alternatives when certain options weren't quite right, and was completely flexible whenever we needed her to be. She made our dream wedding a reality, and I cannot say "thank you" to her enough. Thank you to Costa Sur, to Jess, and to all of the wonderful staff for making not only our wedding day but our entire stay an unforgettable experience!”
